After receiving the most votes in the utility-scale category, the Moapa Southern Paiute Solar project has taken home the category’s Project of the Year award. The Moapa Indian Reservation sought a renewable energy future to impact their community both economically and environmentally. With the help of developers and contractors, including Bombard Renewable Energy, the project has become the first utility-scale solar plant on U.S. tribal lands.
